Specialist Vet Technical Comms- Contract

About the position Purina is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Vet Technical Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between veterinary professionals and our sales, marketing, and veterinary communications teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing programs that enhance veterinary technician engagement and advocacy. Responsibilities • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and veterinary communications teams to develop a 'Nutrition Ambassador Program' for vet clinics, with a strong focus on vet tech engagement. • Implement Nutrition Ambassador program training at key clinics in collaboration with vet sales teams. • Evaluate the strategic importance of a formal Purina Veterinary Tech School Program and provide recommendations. • Assist VET marketing with veterinary technician outreach, advocacy, and programming to strengthen relationships and promote Purina's initiatives. Requirements • Active CVT, LVT licensure (or equivalent). A bachelor's degree is not required. • Minimum of 4+ years of practice experience and/or 2 years of industry experience. • Certification in nutrition is a plus. Nice-to-haves • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. • Proven track record in program development and implementation. • Passion for veterinary medicine and nutrition.
