About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team at blithequark. Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and manage a wide variety of jobs/projects from start to finish, including interpreting customer requirements, developing and managing timelines throughout the production process, and ensuring quality throughout the process.
- Effectively manage communications with sales representatives, customers, outside services, and internal departments to ensure seamless collaboration and excellent customer service.
- Responsible for ensuring job specifications are clearly communicated to all departments, interpreting customer purchase orders/instructions accurately, and providing clear, detailed instructions to the manufacturing team.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of all printing departments, including:
- Digital Department
- Prepress
- Press Room
- Bindery
- Shipping
- Mailing
- Manage jobs to estimated costs and ensure each is handled in the most cost-efficient manner, optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
- May include other duties as assigned by the management team, requiring flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Qualifications

- Familiarity with MIS systems such as iQuote/ePS and Monarch, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Must understand how to create layouts, with Metrix software knowledge being a plus.
- Knowledge of press parameters, ink coverage, and press layouts and folding signatures, with strong mailing and variable data experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial print and direct mail lettershop, with a deep understanding of the printing industry and its best practices.
