Job Overview

The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks for Alternate Investments. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our operations, and the successful candidate will be expected to process trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identify and address breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, and perform other related tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and address breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform reconciliation of Corporate Activity Activities, settling and reconciling transactions, and processing and reconciling returns activity
  • Analyze complex and escalated issues, providing solutions and recommendations to management
  • Test and validate new technology enhancements and provider changes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations
  • Collaborate with Retail and Institutional Service Teams, using email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce to provide exceptional client and advisor support
  • Embodiment of blithequark's values and principles in daily interactions with fund companies, transfer agents, counterparties, and other external business partners

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business, finance, or accounting) an asset
  • No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training and support to ensure your success
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience in a related field (e.g., data entry, finance, or accounting)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and terminology
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, with fluency in English required
