About the Role: Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service Specialist

This position is an integral part of the Corporate Affairs Team within the Government Affairs Division at blithequark. As a Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting and selling air travel on blithequark, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving customer complaints, providing travel information, and communicating new rules, policies, and procedures that affect our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell air travel on blithequark, leveraging your knowledge of our services and products to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, and prepare and issue tickets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
  • Answer inquiries regarding general travel information, resolving customer problems in a mutually beneficial manner and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with customers over the phone, researching passenger complaints, advising on cancelled or delayed flights, and providing timely updates and solutions.
  • Communicate new rules, policies, and procedures that would affect customers, ensuring that they are well-informed and prepared for any changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service, work effectively in a team, and adapt to changing situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in customer service, sales, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the air travel industry.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and customer contact skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of Native SABRE or similar systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to be resourceful and creative in immediate problem resolution, thinking critically and outside the box to resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, exercise good judgment, and be dependable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Satisfactory attendance required, with a commitment to being punctual, reliable, and dedicated to your role.
