Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for performing a range of duties related to medical insurance collections, credits, and patient insurance coverage. Your primary goal will be to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for healthcare services rendered, while also providing exceptional support to patients, clinics, and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing duties for revenue operations department related to medical insurance collections or credits, or setting patient insurance coverage
  • Communicating with insurance payers to ensure proper insurance coverage for patients or to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for healthcare services
  • Responding timely and accurately to payer communications
  • Collaborating with other revenue operations teams to ensure seamless processes across teams
  • Partnering with clinics teammates, such as insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators, to ensure timely and accurate insurance information
  • Helping to identify process changes and opportunities for continuous improvements

Training and Work Arrangement

Initially, you will undergo onsite training at our facility in Federal Way, WA, where you will learn the ins and outs of our revenue cycle operations and develop the skills necessary to excel in this role. After completing your training, you will transition to a fully remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and enjoy a better work-life balance.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills. Essential qualifications include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of six (6) months corporate office experience required
  • Previous Revenue Cycle experience is preferred but not required
  • Data Entry experience filling out online forms
  • Savvy in navigating through the internet and provider portals
  • Proper claim accounting knowledge is a big plus
  • Medical billing or accounting experience is a big plus

In addition to these qualifications, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clinics, and other stakeholders. You should also be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
