We're now seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our remote team, working from the comfort of their own home via a personal computer. **Job Summary** As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data processing operations. You'll be responsible for transferring data from various sources, including paper formats, recorders, and scanners, into our databases, records, and files. Your attention to detail, typing speed, and ability to work independently will be essential in meeting the demands of this role. **Responsibilities** * Transfer data from paper formats via computer, recorders, or scanners into our databases, records, and files, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. * Enter data into appropriate fields, including databases, records, and files, with a focus on numerical data and spreadsheet organization. * Handle numerical data accurately, creating spreadsheets and organizing large numbers with ease. * Curate data directly from speech or interviews, updating databases or records with new information as it becomes available. * Correct and modify inaccurate files and records, ensuring data integrity and consistency. * Type data directly and accurately, with a focus on speed and precision. * Comply with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly, maintaining confidentiality and protecting customer/client information. * Summarize data for standardized reports, providing valuable insights and analysis. * View and verify confidential or private customer/client information, protecting their identities and maintaining confidentiality. * Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency. * Organize paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed, maintaining a clutter-free and efficient workspace. * Assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive attitude. **Requirements** * Accurate and precise attention to detail, with a focus on data integrity and consistency. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation, with a focus on clarity and concision. * Ability to assist team members when needed, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive attitude. * Fast and accurate typist, with a focus on speed and precision. * Ability to speak confidently, clearly, and professionally for voice recording data. * Understanding of data confidentiality principles and commitment to following them to the letter. * High school diploma; associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in business, administration, or related field not required but preferred. * Prior experience handling data entry responsibilities or equivalent experience in a related field. * Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to learn and grow with the company, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development. * Self-directed and able to work without supervision, with a focus on independence and autonomy. * Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheets. * Pays strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and consistency. * Knowledge of touch typing system preferred. **Benefits** * 401(k) plan with company match * Dental insurance with comprehensive coverage * Employee assistance program for mental health and wellness * Flexible spending account for healthcare and dependent care expenses * Health insurance with a range of plan options * Paid time off for relaxation and rejuvenation * Referral program for employee referrals * Tuition reimbursement for continuing education and professional development * Vision insurance with comprehensive coverage **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we're committed to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
