Mechanical Engineering Intern

Our headquarters employs around 350 employees. <br><br></strong><strong>Summary<br><br></strong>For Summer 2026 - The Bradbury Internship Program for the Mechanical Engineering Department has opportunities for individuals to work in various engineering and technical disciplines. Perform engineering department duties, as an intern, involving the use of computer aided devices and design software to create new, modified, and/or improved designs of mechanical systems using established engineering practices with the guidance and mentorship of experienced engineers in order to develop and hone engineering skills in a learning environment. The time period must consist of no less than two months.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Analyze product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to develop mechanical designs and drafting that can be produced by existing manufacturing methods </li><li>Complete designs on time and within the estimated hours per the current engineering schedule and within corporate and engineering department guidelines</li><li>Design with due regard to safety, economy, and ease of fabrication and operation</li><li>Confer with engineering personnel and other department employees to clarify or resolve problems</li><li>Provide necessary drawing maintenance as required to maintain good quality engineering prints</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills & Abilities Required/Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematics</li><li>Able to respond to instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form</li><li>Basic shop knowledge - manufacturing processes<br><br></li></ul><strong>Education/Training Required/Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>Currently working towards a B.S. in ME, MET, or related field<br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>Paid Summer Holidays</li></ul>
