Python Developer with AI

Position: GenAI Engineer RAG & Automation (B2B / Freelancer Contract)
Location: Remote open to candidates based in the European Union (EU)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GenAI Engineer to design, build, and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and automation workflows in cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Azure, LLM integration, and workflow automation with a passion for developing scalable and secure AI-driven solutions that enhance business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions, integrating diverse data sources into vector databases.

• Design, develop, and optimize APIs to ensure system scalability and performance.

• Build and maintain intelligent automation and chatbot solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents).

• Connect and process large data volumes, ensuring full adherence to data protection, security, and compliance standards in cloud environments.

• Develop and integrate multi-channel chatbots across Microsoft Teams, web applications, and other platforms.

• Automate business processes with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Power Automate.

• Design and optimize workflows to streamline data flows and repetitive tasks.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to continuously improve systems architecture and data pipelines.

• Use Git for version control, documentation, and collaborative development.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in the productive deployment of LLMs (Large Language Models) and their integration into enterprise-scale systems.

• Solid expertise with Microsoft Azure technologies and their use in Generative AI (GenAI) projects.

• Strong experience in API development and data integration.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio for automation and workflow optimization.

• Hands-on experience building and integrating chatbots in multi-channel environments.

• Proficiency in Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Power Automate for process automation.

• Ability to design and optimize workflows and data pipelines for automation and efficiency.

• Experience managing and processing large datasets securely in the cloud.

• Strong awareness of data protection, security, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience working with Git for source control and team collaboration.

• Advanced Python programming skills.

• Additional technical knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and C#.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agent frameworks such as PydanticAI or OpenAI Agents SDK.

• Prior exposure to Azure OpenAI services.

• Demonstrated interest in emerging AI automation frameworks and prompt engineering best practices.
