Job Overview

The Senior Manager Self Service Engineering will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers, driving IT service delivery, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of products from conception to retirement, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Establish and promote a workplace culture focused on engineering excellence, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop product visions and roadmaps, ensuring that IT solutions meet business needs and are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop technology guides for products, ensuring that they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Drive the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for building and supporting IT products, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
  • Establish architectures, design patterns, and integration designs, guiding software development performed by team members.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on financial and resource plans for areas of responsibility, ensuring that they are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational support, providing 24/7 availability for critical issues.
  • Manage production and non-production environments through change control management, ensuring that all changes are properly assessed, approved, and implemented.
  • Ensure that work practices are compliant with all audit, security, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or demonstrated ability to perform job responsibilities with a high school diploma/GED and at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in Java, AngularJS, and NodeJS, with a strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing, including Azure, GCP, or AWS, with experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
  • Availability for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%) and possession of valid travel documents, with the ability to travel throughout the US.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available for emergency response on short notice.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be legally qualified to work in the US, with authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

  • Experience in managing budgets and financial plans, with a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing full projects or initiatives, including presenting proposals to senior leadership and stakeholders.
