Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team at blithequark, where you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the enterprise data model, defining data technology architecture, and driving data platform architectural decisions. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for conceptualizing the overall data architectural framework, analyzing and aligning with other business models, and collaborating with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and drive analytic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data model, including data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical metadata
- Understand enterprise information needs and define data technology architecture, data integration architecture, and data warehouse and BI architecture
- Define and maintain enterprise taxonomies and namespaces, as well as meta-data architecture
- Conceptualize the general data architectural framework for large, complex evaluations of data to be used throughout the enterprise
- Study and translate business, application, information, data, reporting, and analytical requirements into an architectural blueprint
- Leverage data and technology to ensure the most effective structure design from a technical performance, efficiency, and operating cost perspective
- Monitor and evaluate trends and developments in the data market to determine if they could enhance the performance of internal systems and/or hardware
- Design and implement technical requirements relative to deployed data systems to ensure their powerful renovation and solid management
- Collaborate with data engineers on data model, its renovation, and optimization, as well as end-to-end data-driven integration strategy
- Participate in growing the future nation data architecture requirements, guidelines, and principles
- Optimize performance of queries and ELT/ETL processes, enhancing batch workouts by optimizing for more modern, near real-time capabilities
- Build high-quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions and drive data platform architectural choices and development requirements
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline, OR a High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline
- At least 1 year of experience in domain-specific architecture
- Experience developing cloud-based solutions
- Knowledge of DevOps
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team management
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the state and out of the state)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology
