Job Overview

As a Big Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale data pipelines and applications using cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Python, and SQL. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, develop technical specifications, and implement solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy large-scale data pipelines and applications using Hadoop, Spark, Python, and SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical specifications
  • Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines and applications
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of our codebase

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on big data engineering and cloud computing
  • Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Python, and SQL, with experience in designing and developing large-scale data pipelines and applications
  • Experience with data warehousing, data processing, and software development, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, with knowledge of microservices and containerization
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as HBase, Couchbase, or MongoDB
  • Experience with Kafka streams or similar technologies
