Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and resolve up to 60 calls daily in a fast-paced call center environment, ensuring prompt and courteous service to patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers.
  • Communicate directly with patients, addressing their concerns, and providing guidance on payment options, medical bills, and patient financial responsibilities.
  • Collect payments, update patient accounts with new or corrected information, and request itemized statements as needed.
  • Explain medical bills, clarify patient financial responsibilities, including deductibles and copays, and provide support to patients navigating the healthcare system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including healthcare providers, billing specialists, and patient advocates, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient concerns.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience, with a preference for 2 years in medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment.
  • Technical proficiency in relevant systems and software, including electronic health records, billing systems, and customer relationship management tools.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity, with sound judgment and empathy in handling sensitive patient concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations.
