Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate individual to fill the role of Senior Data Engineer. As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and implementing database mapping/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for multiple projects. You will collaborate with our Studios or Project Innovation colleagues in various activities, including data requirements gathering, data validation scripting and review, creating and testing ETL/ELT data pipelines, and planning and implementing database schema/tables/views across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines using various technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Windstream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, validate data, and implement data solutions
• Plan and implement database schema/tables/views across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and Prod
• Build and maintain batch processes using Windstream and other technologies
• Work with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
• Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, Gitlab, Windstream, AWS S3, and Social Databases
• 2+ years of experience handling a cloud platform
• 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
• Experience using Apache Windstream, Databricks, and other big data technologies
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data engineering principles

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out in this role, you will need:

• Experience with Windstream, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene
• A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the streaming, media, or digital advertising industry
• Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies
