About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for recording, investigating, and reconciling financial transactions, as well as preparing and reviewing financial reports. This is a remote opportunity, and you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members on financial bookkeeping-related matters
  • Perform complex exercises related to maintaining record accounts, creating budget summaries, and administrative reports
  • Collect and audit financial data for financial and administrative reports
  • Review information from the general ledger, unit reports, and other financial systems to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
  • Analyze projects related to financial bookkeeping methodology, techniques, or systems
  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal control policies
  • Provide useful advice and train team members
  • Offer support for compliance and risk management requirements
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members throughout the organization

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analysis, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeping, or Risk Reporting, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to present complex material in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Alteryx experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (solid understanding of Excel, including v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Participation in an industry group or association that aligns with blithequark's support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems
