Job Overview

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our internal IT information design and examination groups to develop and maintain data foundation conditions that enable report automation for our Healthcare Quality Improvement program. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team of data experts, BI engineers, system architects, and data consumers to deliver performance insights across blithequark Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of blithequark Health data and insights drives and projects, supporting long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet reporting and analysis expectations.
  • Design, develop, and deploy layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analysis projects, ensuring seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Establish data preparation and pre-processing rules for populating sensible and actual data models attached to report-specific working tables for both enterprise business intelligence and pre-defined reporting arrangements.
  • Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal blithequark production system sources and third-party records.
  • Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets (e.g., member eligibility, clinical claims, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS records).
  • Develop internal tools for automation of all improvement-related activities (data processing, QA, data validation, etc.).

Essential Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts, with a strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience designing and deploying intelligently isolated data environments using ETL/ELT services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership and present tool rationalist semantic data layer enhancements connected with BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace, with a strong understanding of data-driven decision-making principles.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience, with a proven ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent certification, demonstrating expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts, with experience working in the healthcare industry or a related field.
