About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class customer service to our various lines of business, including Student Enrollment Management, Alumni Placement Verification Services, and Default Management. Your primary focus will be on handling inbound and outbound customer calls, with a emphasis on outbound calls to students of our clients. You will also provide clear verbal and written communications to assist customers with repayment of their educational obligations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be highly productive and meet outbound and inbound telephone call productivity needs
  • Ability to use telephones, email, chat, and text communication with customers
  • Provide timely and professional response to all written communication
  • Properly utilize CRM system for technical inquiries with follow-up for customer resolution
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding escalations
  • Update records with current demographic and contact information and accurately notate all interactions
  • Initiate calls to Federal loan servicers to resolve repayment options for customers with Federal student loans
  • Comprehend training material on a variety of topics and share new concepts and content
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws governing the industry
  • Adhere to the client Statement of Work standards and company guidelines and policies
  • Attain all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly performance goals

What You Need to Be a Successful Customer Service Associate

To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about the work you do and the people you help. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to establish and maintain rapport with customers through effective communication and timely follow-up. You will also need to be detail-oriented, able to establish priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. As a self-starter with a great degree of internal motivation, you will be able to operate and navigate various technical devices and systems, and troubleshoot common computer issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Ability to work in a remote environment with reliable internet connection
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services or education industry
  • Knowledge of student loan repayment and financial aid
  • Experience with CRM systems and other customer service software
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
