**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Customs Trade Coordinator to join our team in New York, USA. As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating customs clearance and trade compliance for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of shipments. This is a full-time remote position, offering a competitive salary of $20-30/hour.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customs Trade Coordinator at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
* Processing customs clearance and trade compliance for shipments, utilizing data from various sources, including databases, SOPs, duty books, and the web
* Handling and processing different import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and participating government agencies (PGAs)
* Maintaining and updating shipment documentation in accordance with all record-keeping requirements
* Complying with all international importing and exporting regulations
* Collaborating with internal staff, divisions, other blithequark activities, and clients to deliver a high level of service to clients
* Processing organizational financier shipments
* Handling distant filings, as required
* Ensuring all service and organizational strategies are followed
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international trade, logistics, business administration)
* No industry experience is required, but a minimum of six months of work experience is preferred
* Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
* Required software skills include MS Office, Viewpoint, and office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer, scanner)
* Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
* Organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to handle high volumes of work and meet deadlines
* Capacity to utilize various systems and reference materials
* Ability to collaborate with clients, transporters, intermediaries, government agencies, internal staff, and management at all levels
