Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, handling high-volume client requests, and working under direct supervision. You will adhere to guideline working techniques, perform obligations according to blithequark's approaches and methodology, and utilize our pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information. Your duties may vary depending on the allocated division, but your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system, utilizing blithequark's solution information section methodology and rules.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Investigate to obtain missing medication data and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and ensure accuracy and efficiency in your work.
- Communicate with patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
- Resolve Third-Party Rejections by assessing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to payers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.
- Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those at different locations, and identify and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
- Acquire an active professional license or certification within the initial 90 days and maintain an active professional license or certification.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Basic-level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing reports, and accessing information online.
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role:
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/enrollment by state as conceded by the state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Moderate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
