Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for performing data entry tasks, answering high-volume customer requests, and working under direct supervision. You will utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information, handle patient medication requests, and investigate missing medication data. As a Call Center Representative, you will also communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data entry techniques and rules to process new patient enrollments and enter information into the proper system
  • Handle patient medication requests, enter refill orders, and investigate missing medication data
  • Communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide support
  • Settle third-party rejections by inspecting, gathering information, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in the office and in different locations
  • Recognize and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, and accessing information online
  • Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, and bookmarking a webpage
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills, with a minimum of 25 words per minute
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
  • At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration by the state as conceded by the State Board for Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction
  • Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills, with a minimum of 35 words per minute
  • Familiarity with Spanish and English
