Job Overview

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and support to our clients, helping them to feel more confident and make clearer decisions about their financial futures. You will assist with a broad range of needs, including answering questions about 401k account balances, helping with withdrawals and loans, and providing education and resources. You do not need a finance background to succeed in this role, as we provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop your skills and knowledge.

What to Expect

As a new FCA, you will join a training cohort of associates during the first 14 weeks, where you will learn about the financial services industry, develop your skills, and gain new experiences. You will start with basic customer calls and progress to more sophisticated calls related to our clients' 401K plans. In the subsequent months, you will continue taking customer calls to develop and hone your skills, with time in the day to join team activities, get well-being support, and career coaching. Your achievements will be celebrated as you progress through the program, and you will have the opportunity to work extra hours based on business needs and your availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients via phone and digital channels
  • Answer questions and provide education and resources on 401k account balances, withdrawals, loans, and other financial topics
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and empathy
  • Handle a variety of situations and conversations, driving towards a resolution suitable for all
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve business objectives and provide support as needed
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to establish rapport and relationships through effective communication
  • Great listening skills, professionalism, and empathy toward others
  • Proficiency in navigating and troubleshooting basic technology issues or systems
  • Self-motivated teammate with strong social skills who brings energy and passion to the team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of 401k plans and other financial products
  • Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
