Job Objectives
The Certified Pharmacy Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience at blithequark. The key objectives of this role include:
- Modeling and delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that every interaction is courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient
- Registering sales on assigned cash registers, providing customers with accurate and efficient checkout services
- Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
Job Responsibilities/Tasks
The Certified Pharmacy Customer Service Associate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Customer Experience
- Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
Operations
- Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
- Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested
- Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
- Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information
Training & Personal Development

- Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate, acquiring continuing education credits
- Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the Certified Pharmacy Customer Service Associate must:
- Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prior work experience with blithequark
- Good math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- PTCB certification
