The Dispatcher acts as an intermediary between customers and service employees. Responsible for dispatching and scheduling work orders utilizing required applications such as customer service systems, field service systems, customer information systems, and field radio systems for normal installation, service, or emergency repairs rendered in the field. Communicates with customers, relaying information to workers and keeping careful records of services and transactions. Responsibilities • Assess and assign any/all open events. • Verify proper authorization has been obtained to dispatch the event. • Advise the customer of the estimated time of arrival on the scheduled appointment and follow instructions per customer requirements. • Inform supervisor on duty of any delays with the service provider's estimated time of arrival or problems with repairs. • Work with New Call/Follow Up reps to address problems as they arise. • Monitor technician's route and status of units to coordinate and prioritize scheduling • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Extended periods of exposure to computer screen. • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times • Enter details of service orders in applicable computer system and maintain logs of activities and other information as required. • Assist in resolving customer inquiries.
