Scene Build Artist

Summary

We're seeking a talented Scene Builder to join our team ASAP for an exciting animated TV series production.

In this role, you will be responsible for building scenes in Toon Boom Harmony, including laying out backgrounds and characters according to the animatic. Additionally, you will create bespoke poses for characters that cannot be achieved using the character's rig, often aiming to enhance the humour of a scene. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of character rigs, excellent drawing skills, and a great sense of humour through drawing.

Junior £23,000 - £27,000

Mid £27,500 - £30,000

Responsibilities

You will be creating bespoke poses for characters to match the animatic. While doing this you will be preparing Toon Boom Harmony files ready for animation, taking character rigs and backgrounds and laying them out to match the composition of the animatic. You will adapt character rigs and incorporate new drawings to achieve desired poses as outlined in the animatic. You will maintain a consistent style and quality throughout the series, while adding your own creative touch.

Skills

• A strong understanding of character design and posing.
• Have a high level of technical drawing skills, with evidence of cartoon styles within artwork.
• Creativity and innovation.
• Toon Boom experience is preferable but training will be provided.
• Good technical and problem solving skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Bespoke character posing skills.
• Understanding of the 2D animation pipeline.
