Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Advocate at blithequark, you will be responsible for receiving in-bound customer service inquiries via telephone and/or email and resolving problems by putting customers at the heart of all you do. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to dental customer requests via telephone or email, providing excellent service to blithequark's customers who have insurance products or benefit plans.
  • Researching requests regarding various product aspects, policy provisions, claim status, basic procedures, etc.
  • Efficiently processing transactions and referring requests for other policy modifications to appropriate areas, tracking responses to ensure completion.
  • Enhancing and strengthening the relationship between the customer and blithequark using effective communication skills, keen listening skills, and empathy.
  • Efficiently accessing and navigating multiple electronic systems to provide a complete and integrated response to the customer's inquiry.
  • Performing these responsibilities in a consistent, professional manner while exercising strong verbal, interpersonal, and high-quality service skills.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service (includes call center, retail, and restaurants).
  • The ability and desire to work during the hours of operation 8 AM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility regarding shift worked based on business need.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, with the ability to navigate across multiple computer monitors and programs (including Word, Salesforce, and Insight) at one time while conversing with a customer.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and high-quality service skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be advantageous in this role:

  • Prior Call Center or Customer Service Representative experience.
  • Strong computer/keyboard skills (ability to type efficiently).
  • Experience handling dental or other types of insurance products.
  • Prior experience in a dental office.
  • Superb listening skills and professional oral communication skills to inspire trust and accountability in an empathetic style that promotes a quality image of blithequark.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus.
