Our team of 15 drivers and 125 trailers operates out of Liverpool, NY, and we are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our employees and clients alike.

About the Job

As a local truck driver at blithequark, you will play a vital role in our operations, responsible for delivering goods to our dedicated customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. A typical day for our drivers involves reporting to our terminal in Liverpool, NY, and embarking on a route that covers approximately 600 miles, with a focus on drop and hook work. You will have the comfort of returning home every night, with a dedicated truck and a consistent schedule that allows for minimal changes from week to week.

We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer a 5-day workweek, with 2 days off, and the guarantee of being home every weekend. Our drivers are not required to load or unload cargo, and we provide a clean, safe, and well-maintained fleet of 2014 or newer Freightliners and Western Stars.

Core Responsibilities

As a local truck driver at blithequark, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of your vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure.
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, adhering to our high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Being available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Submitting customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Engaging in daily customer interactions, building strong relationships, and providing exceptional customer service, reflecting the values and mission of blithequark.

Hiring Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer, or (K) Intrastate Only.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in the transportation industry.
