Job Overview
Blithequark is seeking a highly energetic and customer-focused Learning and Development Specialist to support the growth and development of our Customer Care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our customer service representatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customer service principles, adult learning theories, and instructional design methodologies, as well as experience in coaching and facilitating learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and iterating engaging learning experiences using multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, self-paced, blended) to support new hire onboarding, skill development, and ongoing training for our Customer Care team.
- Standardizing and customizing curriculum across programs, ensuring materials remain consistent, relevant, and high-quality.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on customer service workflows and systems, providing expertise and guidance to peers and team members.
- Leading the end-to-end new hire onboarding experience, enabling agents to ramp quickly and perform with confidence from day one.
- Delivering training sessions using a variety of techniques, including storytelling, role-play, scenario-based learning, and microlearning.
- Conducting knowledge checks, quality audits, and refresher sessions to assess learning retention and close skill gaps.
- Providing individual and group coaching with actionable feedback that reinforces skills and improves customer experience outcomes.
- Tracking and analyzing new hire performance, attrition, and learning outcomes to drive continuous program improvement.
- Leveraging customer feedback and data to refine training programs, reducing dissatisfaction and increasing retention.
- Implementing innovative, data-driven learning solutions that enhance engagement, reduce dissatisfaction, and increase customer retention.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in training, learning, or talent development roles, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience designing and delivering instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), web-based training (WBT), microlearning, and social learning programs.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts.
- Technical and operational fluency with content management systems (CMS), learning management systems (LMS), and hands-on experience using generative AI tools to support learning design and delivery.
- Strong data literacy, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and translate insights into actionable training improvements.
- Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to give and receive feedback constructively and communicate effectively in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
