This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts to assist clients in navigating their tax obligations effectively. Duties • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all regulations. • Analyze financial documents and records to determine tax liabilities and identify potential deductions. • Provide expert advice on tax-related issues, helping clients understand their financial situation. • Maintain accurate records of client transactions and communications using accounting software. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings. • Assist in bookkeeping tasks as needed, maintaining organized financial records. • Utilize marketing skills to promote tax services and attract new clients. Skills • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage. • Strong understanding of public accounting principles and corporate accounting practices. • Previous experience in tax preparation or related fields is highly desirable. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Strong math skills for accurate calculations and data analysis. • Familiarity with financial sales concepts to assist clients effectively. • Customer service skills to build relationships with clients and address their needs promptly. • Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks. • Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices. • Experience in bookkeeping is a plus, enhancing overall service delivery.
