At blithequark, we're not just about providing security solutions – we're about making a real impact in people's lives. **Job Summary** As a Customer Technical Support Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer experiences by troubleshooting technical issues, resolving customer complaints, and delivering personalized support to our residential and small business customers. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, using your problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and customer service skills to make a real difference in people's lives. **Responsibilities** * Provide technical assistance and customer education to customers via phone, email, or chat, resolving technical issues and answering questions related to alarm systems and home automation * Troubleshoot customer technical issues using guided workflows, walking customers through step-by-step resolutions to solve their issues * Present our Virtual Service Call process to customers, saving them time and money by resolving issues remotely * Assist customers with scheduling onsite technician visits, positively positioning virtual and self-serve options * Provide excellent customer interactions and experiences by using empathy, soft skills, and connecting with customers * Work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, multitasking across multiple systems and applications * Meet or exceed performance metrics, including first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and average handle time * Participate in ongoing performance improvements and technological enhancements, being fluid with changes and receptive to feedback * Maintain a distraction-free workspace, adhering to company standards for equipment, internet bandwidth, and work environment **What's in it for you?** * You'll play an important role in saving lives for a living, making a real impact in people's lives * blithequark will provide all necessary equipment and resources to allow you to be successful in your role, including paid on-the-job training * Enjoy great, highly competitive pay, paid time off, pet insurance, and other compensation perks, including a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and paid time off * Take advantage of tuition reimbursement for academic pursuits, adoption assistance, volunteer opportunities, childcare and eldercare resources, and much more * Pursue exciting opportunities across the blithequark family, exploring new challenges and growth opportunities **Qualifications/Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent * Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions * Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently * Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to empathize and connect with customers * Ability to type at least 35 wpm, with intermediate knowledge of computer applications * Demonstrated proficient problem-solving and customer de-escalation skills, with a minimum of one year of customer service experience **Experience** * Minimum of one year of customer service experience required * Technical experience is a plus, but not required **Skills** * Excellent communication skills * Ability to type at least 35 wpm * Intermediate knowledge of computer applications * Strong organizational skills * Ability to multitask with ease, effectively prioritize tasks, and be a self-starter **Pay and Benefits Disclosure** The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour, with incremental increases of $0.50 every 30 days until the rate of $20.00 is reached after 180 days of employment. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and paid time off among others.
