[Remote] Solidworks/NX Designer-Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a Solidworks/NX Designer to work remotely for Fermilab's Quality & Materials Department. The role involves preparing mechanical designs and drawings, coordinating with engineering staff, and ensuring compliance with design standards and project schedules. Responsibilities • Prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing Solidworks, NX1980, and Teamcenter • Correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard • Support projects within Client-TD DUNE • Work to meet project schedules and other requirements • Research and analyze design solutions • Coordinate design development • Specify and select design components and materials • Perform design tolerance and stack up calculations • Create layout designs • Develop advanced level 3D models and 2D drawings • Manage 3D models and 2D drawings in Windchill, NX and Team Center • Ensure work is performed in accordance with the Fermilab QAM and Client-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures • Have all work reviewed, checked, and approved by Fermilab staff responsible for the specific task Skills • Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in Solidworks/NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal. • A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer. • Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven project. • Knowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial.
