Buy-Side Equity Analyst

Role Description

We’re seeking a Buy-Side Equity Analyst to contribute to both fundamental company research and AI data labeling initiatives. You’ll perform investment analysis, build valuation models, and collaborate with data scientists to label and structure datasets that train AI models used in investment research. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to investment banking-style modeling, AI research, and real-world portfolio thinking — ideal for students, analysts, or career switchers looking to build hybrid expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental company and sector research, with a focus on AI, software, and emerging technology.
• Build and maintain DCF, comps, and operating models to assess valuation and growth potential.
• Work with AI researchers to curate and label financial datasets — ensuring data quality, accuracy, and analytical relevance.
• Assist in preparing investment memos and pitch materials for internal and client presentations.
• Support the integration of AI insights into portfolio and valuation models.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or financial modeling preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg/FactSet, and valuation techniques.
• Familiarity with data labeling, AI/ML workflows, or Python/SQL is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or STEM; CFA or progress toward it preferred.
