About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our customers, addressing their inquiries, and providing timely solutions. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position that requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer calls from participants regarding initial and continuing eligibility for income maintenance programs related to medical services
  • Gather, verify, evaluate, and enter necessary social, financial, and medical information into various applications
  • Maintain complete and accurate computerized records of participant interactions
  • Perform a variety of diverse tasks while continuing to maintain currency and accuracy of program requirements
  • Ensure timely processing of participant inquiries/annual reviews to meet client needs and program mandates
  • Meet or exceed daily standards for performance, accuracy, customer service, and quality

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Basic office and computer skills
  • Exceptional communications and customer service skills, including skills in handling client behaviors such as fear, hostility, and aggression
  • Knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles used in the calculation of public assistance benefits
  • High-speed internet, quiet space with a door to safeguard equipment, and modem/router to hardwire phone
  • Knowledge of the general provisions, objectives, and philosophy of public assistance programs
  • Ability to multitask and resolve issues when necessary
  • Excellent attendance with no absences during the 6-8 week training period
  • Clean background and ability to pass drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field
  • Knowledge of medical services and income maintenance programs
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
