Our primary work is operating the website ClassAction.org, which we use to generate leads for our attorney clients and report on consumer-focused legal news. We are looking for a Junior Content Writer to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate must have: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Writing, Communications or a related field Extremely strong writing skills Strong grammar, proofreading and editing abilities Familiarity with AP style and journalistic writing The ability to comprehend and digest complex topics and clearly and effectively communicate them to readers Willingness to learn new platforms, including content management and case-search system Willingness to learn best practices for online writing, such as on-page SEO strategies The ability to commute to our Warren, NJ office 2 days a week What you’ll work on: Writing, on a daily basis, multiple news stories covering lawsuits, settlements and dismissals for publication on our legal newswire (legal knowledge/experience not required) Proofreading and editing content before publication Uploading work to custom content management system Following “beats” for lawsuits and settlements being monitored Working closely with managing editor and content team What's in it for you?
