Remote PT Ambulance Biller (Flexible Hours)

About Us: We are an EMS Software company with an EMS Billing Services division, looking for detail-oriented EMS Billers with paramedic / emt experience to join our team on a part-time basis. If you have experience in ambulance billing and coding (AR and Credentialing is a bonus) —and are looking for flexible work hours, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: • Process EMS claims for ambulance transports and transmit in a timely manner • Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and documentation for completeness and accuracy in billing • Submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers • Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and coding updates. • Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless operations. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and HIPAA • Communicate with EMS providers and insurance companies as needed Qualifications: • EMS billing experience is required • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement processes • Familiarity with HCPCS and CPT codes for ambulance services • AR and/or credentialing experience is bonus • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Why Join Us? ?
