With hundreds of locations across 45 states, blithequark provides high-quality medical products, services, and outstanding customer care. **Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist to join our team in a remote work environment. As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will provide support to patients, referral sources, and employees by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement. You will be the first point of contact for new customers and will be responsible for processing new orders, responding to questions, resolving issues, and ensuring patient, referral, and employee satisfaction. **Responsibilities** As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing support to patients, referral sources, and employees by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement * Processing new orders, responding to questions, resolving issues, and ensuring patient, referral, and employee satisfaction * Collecting co-pays and deductible amounts * Conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services/products * Conducting patient satisfaction calls and acting as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns * Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of current products and services, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines * Maintaining accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data entry * Managing all aspects of initial intake, including answering the phone and receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into IMBS and eIntake, printing tickets, assembling charts, and processing paperwork * Obtaining authorization and qualification documentation * Preparing complete and accurate files for the Billing Department * Processing work orders to field locations and coordinating timely fulfillment of products and services ordered * Providing product/service information and education by answering questions and offering assistance * Providing thorough review and Quality Assurance for medical necessity and documentation requirements of payors and regulatory bodies * Working extensively with eIntake proprietary system * Performing other duties as assigned **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or GED equivalent * One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment * Experience in the medical field and administrative record management * Strong customer service background * Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written * Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite while maintaining a positive attitude * Interpret a variety of communications in English (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual) * Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement * Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information * Medical terminology * Multi-task along with attention to detail * Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills * Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients * Work independently and as part of a team **Physical Demands** This role requires: * Lifting of 10lbs * Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking, or listening; extensive hours sitting at a desk * Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or paperwork; extensive hours working on the computer **Benefits** As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist at blithequark, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: * Generous paid time off and paid holidays * Overtime pay for non-exempt hourly positions based on business needs * Commission for Account Executives * Fixed and variable rate car reimbursement for Area Managers and Account Executives * Employee discount program * Employee recognition program * Bonus and incentive opportunities * Mileage reimbursement (when applicable for the position) * Telephone reimbursement (when applicable for the position) * EAP * 401k * Medical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision * HSA and FSA/Dependent Care FSA * Life Insurance, Disability, Accidental death, Identity protection, and Legal services * Meru Health Mental health and Mercer SmartConnect Medicare programs * Livongo Diabetes and High Blood Pressure programs * Healthcare Bluebook and RX Savings solutions programs * HEPB and TB vaccinations **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from home and enjoy a range of benefits, including: * 100% remote work from home day one of employment * 2nd Shift Mon - Fri 11:30am - 8pm CST * Opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment * Collaborative and supportive team environment * Opportunities for career growth and professional development **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for the Experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist - 2nd Shift Remote Opportunity at blithequark.
