Job Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technical support professional to provide everyday specialized help for network framework and inner work area frameworks programming and equipment. As a Technical Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting work area systems, workstations, servers, and network issues. You will also maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security, and provide technical support to PC system users, answering questions and resolving PC issues in person and via telephone, email, chat, and other means.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer client support demands and determine the technical support issue (i.e., software or hardware related) and maintain trust in the Technical Services Group (TSG)
  • Communicate with clients by telephone to discuss recognized issues or concerns and resolve the issues (e.g., hardware or software glitch, user error, etc.)
  • Investigate recognized issues by gathering information, assessing web information sites, or possibly internal site to identify solutions and work towards resolution
  • Conduct site visits inside the region to investigate issues and/or install or upgrade hardware and software if help issue can't be resolved remotely
  • Conduct follow-up with clients to ensure issues were resolved completely
  • Complete service orders to avoid operational delays in resolving issues

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (client/server)
  • Experience with Cisco VPN, Citrix, Phantom, Symantec, Desktop Applications, Dynamic Registry, and different Internet browsers (preferred)
  • Technical Certifications like A+, Network, or MCP (preferred)
  • Technical work experience (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Advanced knowledge of network and desktop systems administration
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and processes

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $23.85/hour to $38.75/hour, depending on factors such as market location, work-related experience, skills, and education/training.
