About The Role

The Part-Time Motion Graphics Video Editor will be responsible for creating compelling and high-quality motion graphics and video content to support our education team and e-learning materials. This role requires a strong understanding of motion graphics principles, video editing techniques, and a keen eye for visual storytelling. You’ll play a key role in bringing our educational content to life through motion graphics, animation, and video editing.

This is a part-time position working closely with our education team and subject matter experts to produce videos that will be embedded into our platform training and marketing materials.

What You’ll Do

• Design and create engaging motion graphics, GIFs, animated infographics, and visual effects for video content.

• Deliver final assets in formats suitable for LMS (Learning Management Systems) or web embedding.

• Collaborate with our Education team, marketing, and internal subject matter experts to create video content that aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.

• Edit raw video footage, ensuring seamless transitions, pacing, and overall coherence.

• Incorporate sound design, music, and voiceovers to enhance video projects.

• Manage and organize video assets, project files, and archives.

• Provide creative input and suggestions to improve video quality and impact.

• Utilize translation tools and subtitle files to localize video content.

• Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work consistently.

We’d Like to See

• Proven experience as a Motion Graphics Designer and/or Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse motion graphics and video editing projects.

• Experience creating educational explainer videos preferred.

• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

• Excellent video editing skills, including pacing, storytelling, and sound design.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics and video editing.

Contract Details

• Hours: 20 hours per week

• Contract Type: Fixed-term

• Compensation: $50/hr

• Duration: 6 month contract – potential for extension based on business needs and performance

• Location: Remote
