Why You Will Love This Role

This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, focusing on everyday functions related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. As a Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders, including contributors, vendors, and other institutions, to ensure seamless and efficient payment processing. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency
  • Obtain information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant regulations

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service and resolving customer inquiries
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of payment processing and fund transfers
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and contributors, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service
