Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for the successful execution of customer freight pickup and delivery and the daily oversight of drivers (owner-operators). Job duties include problem identification, solution recognition, and system implementation to improve driver experience, maximize driver revenue and provide quality customer service. This position will assist drivers and team members to ensure that the team works together in a way that supports the mission of the organization and is in alignment with our core values and beliefs. Position Summary: • Coordinate the flow of information related to shipment movement between owner/operators, drayage vendors, and terminal and rail operators within the network. • Coordinate notifications of any delayed train issues with affected plants. Handle any design issues with the logistics provider on any new or changing routes. • Monitor and maintain revenue opportunities and needs to the terminal and regional fleets to ensure customer service commitments are met. • Monitor and manage equipment flow to ensure capacity is available. Manage train capacity and control access to trailer equipment located within the terminal service area. • Work with brokers, customers, and carrier management groups to ensure TCS can meet the expectations of our customers and provide the service expected. • Able to work independently, make decisions impacting customer and owner/operator business and operations. Assist with overflow of work processes throughout the shift, as needed.
