Position Overview
We are seeking a talented, motivated, and design-forward Graphic Design Intern to support our social media, content, and executive branding teams. This is a 20 hours/week role. The intern will create high-impact visuals-social media quote cards, infographics, GIFs, carousels, and banner images-for executive content. Deliverables should adhere to a 48-hour turnaround expectation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design social media graphics for executives, aligned with brand voice and visual guidelines
• Produce quote cards, infographics, banners, carousels, and GIFs optimized for LinkedIn, X, Bluesky and Meta Threads
• Ensure consistency in typography, layout, color, iconography, and visual hierarchy
• Adapt designs to different aspect ratios and specifications per platform
• Collaborate with writers, social media strategists, and editors to translate messaging into visual assets
• Maintain an organized library of design files, templates, and source assets
• Accept and incorporate feedback iteratively to refine designs
• Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple design requests concurrently
• Occasionally participate in content planning meetings or brainstorm sessions
Qualifications & Skills
Required / Must-Have:
• Proficiency in Canva (or equivalent design tools) with a solid understanding of layout, balance, and visual storytelling
• Portfolio or examples of graphic design work (especially social media / digital graphics)
• Strong attention to detail - alignment, spacing, color consistency
• Ability to deliver high-quality work within a 48-hour turnaround
• Good communication skills and ability to accept critique
• Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
• Experience creating GIFs or animated graphics
• Exposure to design systems, templates, or branding style guides
• Understanding of social media trends, best practices, and constraints
• Some experience working with executives, personal brands, or thought leadership content
Logistics & Compensation
• Hours: ~20 hours per week (flexible scheduling possible)
• Compensation: $600/month
• Turnaround expectation: 48 hours per deliverable
• Duration: 3-6 months preferred (can adjust based on candidate availability)
• Location: Remote, with optional collaboration in office/hub as needed
• Occasional team check-ins or design reviews may require synchronous meetings
