Vehicle Auto Transport Dispatcher

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Vehicle Auto Transport Dispatcher to coordinate the efficient movement of vehicles across various locations. This role involves managing transportation schedules, communicating with drivers and clients, and utilizing advanced transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analysis capabilities, and familiarity with logistics and fleet management tools to optimize vehicle dispatch operations. Duties • Coordinate vehicle pick-up and delivery schedules using transportation management systems such Superdispatch.com. • Utilize GPS technologies to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve dispatch efficiency. • Manage freight movements, shipping, receiving, and fleet management activities to ensure seamless operations. • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette. • Enter data accurately into transportation management systems and perform data entry tasks related to dispatching and logistics operations. • Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot issues, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery deadlines. • Provide analysis on transportation performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement. Skills • Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight management, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management. • Excellent analysis skills for route optimization, scheduling efficiency, and problem resolution. • Effective dispatching abilities with experience in transportation planning and coordination. • Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette, clear verbal communication, and professional correspondence. • Typing proficiency for data entry tasks with accuracy in multi-line phone systems. • Frequent use and experience with computer technology.
