About the Role
We are excited to announce a part-time Remote Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity for the 2025 school year, supporting the Zachary Community School District. This role offers a unique chance to work with High School students, providing essential speech and language services in a fully remote setting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, working from a remote area.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders and difficulties, tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, promoting effective communication and social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development and progress, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing valuable input regarding students' communication needs and developing effective strategies for support.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Louisiana State License to practice Speech and Language Pathology.
- Type C- Credential (will take education cred. pending).
- Masters in Speech and Language Pathology or Teacher of Speech and Language Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
