Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide telephone assistance to Aetna Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your primary goal will be to deliver an exceptional experience to our callers, ensuring that every interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and a deep understanding of our members' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering inbound member and provider calls, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Providing accurate and timely information, resolving issues efficiently, and escalating complex cases to senior representatives or other departments as needed.
  • Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted) and company-provided equipment to perform job duties.
  • Participating in a comprehensive training program (first 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) to develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and policies.
  • Working from home, demonstrating self-sufficiency, and maintaining a distraction-free workspace that meets company requirements.
  • Adhering to performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, ensuring that every interaction meets our high standards for customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must live within 50 miles of Charleston, WV, and be able to commute to the office when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form, and meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or call center setting, is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to work from home, prove self-sufficiency, and maintain a secure and reliable internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, as well as experience working with healthcare-related products and services.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in using computer software, navigating multiple systems, and troubleshooting common technical issues.
