Job Responsibilities

As a Registered Behavioral Technician - RBT, your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. Your duties will include:

  • Implementing personalized therapy plans, developed by BCBAs, to address the unique needs and goals of each child
  • Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction
  • Collecting and recording data on behavior and skill acquisition during therapy sessions
  • Collaborating with BCBAs to ensure consistency and effectiveness of therapy plans
  • Responding to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Maintaining a goal-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and promoting positive outcomes

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, or special education) preferred
  • 1-year experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably in ABA therapy or a related field
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Personal means of transportation, with a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that require fine and gross motor skills, bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for periods

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in ABA therapy or a related field, with a strong understanding of ABA principles and practices
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, with a passion for promoting their growth and development
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans and their application in therapy settings
