About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team as part of our Google Research Collaborations program. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that leverage the latest computer techniques and technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us develop intelligent systems for all Google products, and you'll have the chance to collaborate with experienced software developers and scientists to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in finding solutions to real-world problems at Google Research, leveraging your expertise in computer science and software engineering.
  • Collaborate with Google scientists and engineers to design and implement research projects, applying your knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and other relevant technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of intelligent systems for all Google products, working closely with other Google teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer science and software engineering, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and growth in our research projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring that project goals and objectives are clearly understood and met.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a computer science field, such as natural language understanding, neural networks, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, algorithmic foundations of optimization, data science, or machine/artificial intelligence.

Desired Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who possess the following desired qualifications:

  • Currently studying full-time and will return to study after completion of an internship.
  • Research experience, including internships, full-time or in the field, with a focus on contributing to a community effort or doing research, including publishing articles at conferences or in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience with one or more generic programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go, Python.
  • Ability to design and implement research projects, with a focus on applying your knowledge of computer science and software engineering.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.
