Data Analytics Intern

Job Description: • Wrangle and organize data in the Mission domain to create dashboards showing progress in grant-related activities and outcomes • Create grant dashboards in collaboration with the Mission department • Data wrangling, cleansing, and help creating scalable data storage and shuttling solutions for grant-related data • Support Data Center of Excellence initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within GII • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and data product users • Present statistical modeling and visualization projects as part of role Requirements: • Familiarity with statistics and data visualization • Ability to present a project including data cleansing, exploration, statistical modeling and visualization in R or Python • Strong oral and written communication skills • Excellent time management and organization skills • Familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau preferred • Demonstrated use of Python or R for statistical modeling projects • Graduate students in mathematics, data science, economics, or related fields preferred; undergraduate students considered • Academic experience completing complex data projects involving data mining, processing and analytics • Experience presenting technical subjects to non-technical audiences • Some familiarity with tools/software like PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, R, Python Benefits: • Fully remote option • Opportunity to work from Goodwill Industries International headquarters in Rockville, Maryland (Washington, DC area) • Part-time (up to 20 hours/week) • Paid at $17.65 per hour Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
