About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team, working remotely to provide exceptional support to our clients, insureds, attorneys, and adjusters. As a key member of our Customer Service Department, you will be responsible for answering calls and written inquiries, collecting accident details, and promoting or demoting cases accordingly. Your goal will be to deliver a positive caller experience, educate our customers, and support the recovery staff in their efforts to recover funds on behalf of health benefit plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume customer inquiries through phone calls, voicemails, faxes, scanned correspondence, and emails
  • Identify and assess customer needs to achieve maximum client satisfaction
  • Assist callers in real-time with data collection or education, and transfer or redirect calls to the appropriate Recovery Specialists when necessary
  • Utilize internal systems and resources to provide accurate, valid, and complete information relevant to the situation
  • Ensure adequate phone coverage with regular attendance and situational awareness during scheduled shifts to minimize missed and abandoned calls
  • Review, promote, and activate client and blithequark-generated referrals resulting from Call Center activity
  • Collect and document handling attorney and/or adjuster information, as well as any additional pertinent information, as needed
  • Maintain and respond to department requests submitted through the online questionnaire portal
  • Maintain and research automatic updates generated through a national database used to identify third-party claims
  • Perform reviews of scanned documentation for systematic updates, such as blithequark Accident Questionnaires
  • Generate client-specific reports on a weekly basis, as needed
  • Protect company assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, and/or modification, and comply with the organization's information security policies

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for bilingual candidates. You should have experience working in a remote environment, with a private workspace and sufficient internet speed to support video, IP phone, and multi-system usage. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a law firm, insurance company, TPA, or medical field is required, with call center experience being highly desirable.
