Who You Are

Jolera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Meraki SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and Cisco core networking. This role is ideal for a senior technical professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments and has the expertise to lead network design, implementation, and optimization efforts across diverse infrastructure landscapes in Canada or the EU.

You will act as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert, working closely with internal teams and clients to architect, troubleshoot, and scale secure, high-performance networks.

What You’ll Do

– Lead the deployment and configuration of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) solutions for global enterprise customers.- Integrate Cisco SD-WAN with customer LAN/WAN architectures, ensuring compliance with performance and security requirements.- Design and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation for handover to internal and customer teams.- Configure and implement BGP, OSPF, VRFs, and routing policies in diverse network environments.- Collaborate with Project Managers and customer stakeholders to plan implementation timelines and ensure successful go-lives.- Serve as the technical point of contact during project delivery—resolving issues, leading cutovers, and validating configurations.- Participate in pre-implementation planning, including design validation and readiness assessments.- Follow Jolera’s project and change management frameworks, ensuring consistent delivery across global accounts.- Ensure best practices and standardized configurations are applied during every deployment- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to strategic network architecture planning.
Qualification– A highly skilled Cisco networking professional with a deep focus on SD-WAN implementation.- Project-driven, delivery-focused, and confident leading complex deployments independently.- Comfortable working with international teams and navigating varied enterprise environments.- Communicative, structured, and able to document work to a high standard.- Adaptable to different customer environments and regulatory requirements.- Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) – End-to-end deployment experience across edge routers, controllers, and centralized policy management.- Routing Protocols – Strong BGP and OSPF hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience.- Cisco Infrastructure – Familiarity with Catalyst, ISR/ASR routers, and Nexus switches.- Tools – Experience with diagramming (Visio, Lucidchart) and basic scripting or templating (Ansible, Python) a plus.- Certifications – CCNP (preferred), CCNA (required). Cisco SD-WAN specialist certification highly valued.- Professional Services – Experience in customer-facing delivery roles in a systems integrator or MSP context.
