About the Home Care Aide Position

We are seeking a caring and experienced Home Care Aide to join our team in Yamhill, OR. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to seniors in their private residences, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with personal care and protection of residents in their private residences, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
  • Develop awareness of residents' interests and needs, and assist them to maximize their independence and participation in daily activities
  • Prepare meals and assist with dining activities, as needed
  • Escort clients to medical and social appointments, store, or run errands for clients, and assist with planning and participation in social activities
  • Perform home management tasks, such as housekeeping, shopping, laundry, and sorting mail
  • Provide effective customer service skills, meeting the standards and culture expectations of the company
  • Accurately report unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor, and document daily records
  • Assist residents in arranging appointments and transportation, as needed
  • Conduct work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a Home Care Aide or in a related field, preferably in a senior living community
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using a computer for input of resident information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Home Care Aide or completion of a training program in a related field
  • Experience working with seniors with dementia or other cognitive impairments
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, preferably Spanish or other languages spoken by our residents

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic knowledge of household management and meal preparation

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
