Job Overview We have immediate openings for experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team. Key Responsibilities • Provide personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming • Assist clients with medication management, vital signs, and other healthcare needs as required • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship • Work collaboratively with our team of caregivers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and progress, including documentation of vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant information • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in caregiving and healthcare Essential Qualifications • At least 1 year of caregiving experience, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting • Current certification as a CNA or HHA, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe • Reliable transportation, with a valid driver's license and insurance • Ability to pass a background check and drug test • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum age of 18 years old • US work authorization required Preferred Qualifications • Dementia care experience, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of clients with dementia • Experience working with clients with complex healthcare needs, such as wound care, diabetes management, or respiratory therapy • CPR certification, with a commitment to maintaining certification and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiopulmonary resuscitation • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Skills and Competencies • Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and support • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals • Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Assisting Hands of Berea, we are committed to supporting the ongoing development and growth of our caregivers.
