We are currently looking for a Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to lead test automation initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role will focus on building scalable test automation frameworks, collaborating with development teams, and mentoring QA team members to elevate the overall testing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation Oversight:
    Design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and align with organizational goals.
  • Strategic Decision-Making:
    Evaluate and recommend the best tools, testing methodologies, and automation strategies to optimize testing processes and support development cycles.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    Work closely with QA, development, and product teams to ensure automated testing is well-integrated into the software development lifecycle.
  • Test Automation Coverage Enhancement:
    Lead efforts to expand test automation coverage and promote best practices across all levels of testing, from unit to end-to-end.
  • Acceptance Criteria Approval:
    Review and approve acceptance criteria to ensure new features are clearly defined and fully covered by automated test cases.
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance:
    Conduct code reviews of automation test scripts, analyze test results, and collaborate with developers to continuously improve product quality.
  • Mentorship and Team Leadership:
    Mentor junior QA engineers and testers, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to team growth and technical excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement Advocacy:
    Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in testing and automation. Drive continuous improvement across QA processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.)
  • Experience working with MongoDB and relational databases
  • Exposure to AI-driven testing solutions and familiarity with emerging AI testing practices
  • Background in the healthcare or insurance domain preferred
  • HIPAA certification or strong understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, test strategies, and SDLC processes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, API testing, and system integrations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in mentoring and leading QA team members (QA testers, SDETs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
